I know that the later books have a lot of content and that, consequently, the movies can’t translate all of that to the screen, but the Order of the Phoenix film cuts off so much of the world building that the book had-perhaps the most world building in any book in the series before it. There’s a lot to unpack in the Order of the Phoenix novel, but the movie ends up delivering a very surface-level adaptation of a book with a lot more nuance and detail. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenixmight be an excellently produced film-all Harry Potter films are-but it just might be my second least favorite movie in the series. “TCN’s From Page to Screen” continues, as we compare “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” to its film adaptation.
